Magic Carpet Ride Feb 25, 2009

Kendall's imagination has really been growing by leaps and bounds. Tonight I heard her scooting around on the landing of the steps. When I asked what she was doing, all I got was her usual response of "nothing" before she launched into "Mommy, come here and see!". I went to see what she was up to and found her wrapped up in her princess blanket scooting on the throw rug. She was flying on her magic carpet. She said she was flying up the wall where she would fall off and bonk her head with squeals of laughter.

Weekend visit to Granddaddy's Feb 20 - Feb 22, 2009

We went to see Granddaddy this weekend. We had a really nice time. Kendall had a ball! She loves spending time with Granddaddy, she followed him around everywhere. And she had so much fun with his dog Sophie, such a good dog, very sweet girl. While Kendall followed Granddaddy and Rosetta around it gave Mommy and Daddy a little time to relax! Kendall kept Granddaddy and Rosetta (Grannie) laughing with all of her surprising comments and conclusions all weekend.

February 14, 2009 Cinderella

Happy Valentine's Day! Grandma took Kendall and Mommy to see Kendall's first ballet today, Cinderella. Kendall was so excited, all week she asked every day, a thousand times a day, if we were going to see Cinderella dance that day. When I would say no, she would ask if we were going tomorrow. This was the conversation over and over and over. Finally the day came, she was too excited to take a nap before so she was really tired by the time it began. She said she liked it and wanted to go again sometime. Grandma said we might try the Nutcracker this year. I think she will like it better, it has more lively music and more going on than Cinderella.

Kendall has taken to calling everyone on the phone. The MINUTE I turn my back she gets my phone and calls someone, usually her Granddaddy. She will call him 2 and 3 times a day, more if I didn't stop her. The minute she gets on the phone, she starts pacing the house. She is on the move the whole time she is talking on the phone. She is so grown up, she is so funny to watch. Growing up WAY to fast. I was looking at size 1 and 2 baby shoes in Target the other day and it just seems unreal that she was once that size. It seems so long ago, but then it seems just like it was yesterday at the same time.

Kendall has been so busy the past year it has been impossible to keep up. She has been very busy with MANY birthday parties, play dates, soccer, gymnastics and swimming classes. She is still taking computer classes at school and still LOVES them. She enjoys getting on Mommy and Daddy's computer and zips around the Disney Princess website. She has taken two sessions of gymnastics and has improved her balance by leaps and bounds. She was the star of the soccer team this summer, she had several games where she scored 4 and 5 goals. Each time she would score she would run to me and give me a hug and kiss. She still loves to ride Dancer but we haven't had much opportunity to go out to the barn this past year. We are hoping Spring will bring more opportunities to go out and ride.
