May 29, 2007 Catching up!

I know, I've been slipping! Pepaw has been requesting new blogs for weeks, okay, months! We've just been so busy, no time to stop and write! Kendall and Julia went to the Doodlebops, and us Mommies too of course. They had a good time, but Kendall didn't like them as well as she did the Wiggles show! She has also had a few birthday parties, numerous trips to the zoo, play dates, been horseback riding on Dancer & went to her first baseball game. She is already a social butterfly! Kendall is getting to be such a little girl! :-( Although daily, she tells me she's my baby girl! :-) The other day she came in from being outside with Grandma and Pepaw to throw away an empty potato chip bag, she went right back out after trashing the bag, but came right back in saying "I got to go potty Mommy, I almost forgot!" with this little chuckle like she was laughing at herself! Too Grown up for me already! She speaks more and more in complete sentences and uses words and different meanings that just amaze me, and she really knows what she is saying, she applies them correctly! Such a smart girl! She has got the potty thing pretty much down pat now and has for a good couple of months now. She just needed privacy! She will choose which bathroom she wants, usually the master bath, and call me when she's finished! She hasn't had any accidents in a long time. She still wears pull ups at night but they have begun to be dry on occasion in the morning, so she may be just around the corner from not needing them at all! I've attached a few pictures Grandma has taken recently of Kendall playing in the backyard. Below is one of Kendall and Alex looking at bugs. I've also attached a picture from Easter, unfortunately, none are of her in her Easter dress! The camera's battery died! But here are a few of Kendall checking out what the Easter Bunny brought her! And below is one I found from way back in November! Her first movie at the movie theater. Happy Feet!

Mother's Day May 13, 2007

We had a great Mother's Day this year. Daddy had to work but we had a day full of fun! First we went to the zoo with Grandma, Pepaw, Aunt Leslie, Uncle Darrell, Cousins Alex & Adam. Grandma got us a membership to the zoo! Kendall had a great time. We saw the baby elephant, the monkeys, lions, girafee's (one of Kendall's favorites), and many other animals too. It was a beautiful day so all of the animals were outside. Kendall and Alex played on the new playground at the zoo and we saw them working on the new water park that will open soon! Kendall and Alex also went down the BIG blowup slide. Kendall really LOVED that! She even went up all by herself! She is getting to be such a big girl! We even rode the train and the merry-go-round.

After a full day at the zoo and a nice long nap, we went back to Aunt Leslie and Uncle Darrell's for a cook out. After dinner we went to see MamaJ to give her Happy Mother's Day hugs and kisses, then it was on to see PawPaw and Grammie at Aunt Tammy & Cousin Delaney's new apartment. Kendall and Delaney were having a ball running circles and chasing each other around the apartment, squealing and laughing. Kendall was pooped when we finally got home that night!
