August 2007 Ky State Fair & Louisville Science Center

Kendall went to her first Ky State Fair this year. We went twice! We went with Cousin Delaney, Aunt Tammy, Grammie & Pawpa on Friday and then again on Sat. with Aunt Leslie, Uncle Darrell, & Cousin Alex. We forgot the camera on Friday but we got some good pictures on Sat. Kendall had a blast! She LOVED the rides. She did a really good job jumping on the budgee jumper (kind of like being attached to to giant rubber bands and jumping on a trampoline) and rode her first roller coaster. She laughed the whole time she was on the roller coaster! She is FEARLESS! Nothing is too high or goes too fast!

We also met with some friends and went to the Louisville Science Center. Kendall really enjoyed that too. We played in the KidZone and explored all kinds of things. Kendall and Nicholas were cooking on the airplane making pizza and Kendall was having a ball with the water activity. On our way walking back to the car we pasted the Louisville Slugger Museum. Kendall and Nicholas really liked the big Louisville Slugger bat!

We had lots of fun at the pool this summer. She got to be a very good swimmer with her life jacket on, she is quite a little fish in the water. We took friends Emily & Claire swimming with us one weekend and Cousins Alex & Adam, Uncle Darrell & Aunt Leslie came with us another time. We all had lots of fun splashing!

Kendall is getting to be such a big girl! She has given up the pacifier except for at night. She has to hand it over as soon as she gets up in the morning and doesn't get it back until she gets back in the bed to sleep. She has done very well, just some very minor whinning during the evening after she gets home from school. The weekends are a little harder but she is still doing a very good job and waits until bedtime!
